Time's a nearin'!

That's right - only 5 weeks until the big day! I have so many things to do...I might have waited until the last minute for a few important details! But who ever said food at a reception is required?

One thing is for sure: the HONEYMOON! Complete with segway tours of the Riverwalk, a day at the zoo and of course a day at Fiesta Texas we are super psyched and ready to go! At least we've got one part 100% planned.

Time to buckle down and get ready. Hope to see everyone there!

Hotel Reservations

If anyone needs to make a hotel reservation for the weekend of the wedding, there is now a link to all hotels in Amarillo/Canyon at the top of the page! The Downtown Marriott (where the reception is being held) has offered all out of town guests a discounted rate of $105 a night. This rate can be applied to either a room with a King bed and sofa sleeper, or a room with 2 Queen beds. They are currently setting up a website for online booking at this rate, but if you'd rather do it over the phone, simply call 806-553-4500 and mention the "Hall-Srader" wedding reception being held there the evening of August 13, 2011. These reservations must be made no later than July 12, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. to receive this rate.

Registry Time!

The past two weeks Jared and I have ventured to two stores and set up registries. The first one was pretty tough for Jared (who woulda' thunk, it being Bed Bath and Beyond) but Wal-Mart was much easier for him. Tools and games and household items, oh my! If you look at our Navigation Bar at the top of our website, you'll see a new page for Registry. If you need the information on where to find our Registry and what we've registered for, feel free to browse the links provided.

I was thinking about six months, but time has flown by. We're now going on less than three months until the wedding! Guess I should start planning, huh?

Road Trip!

Spring break was so much fun this year! I was ready to get out and do some shootin' and Jared was wanting to go down to East Texas to see some of his buddies. What better way to kill two birds with one stone than to take me with him!

We broke our trip into two parts, giving us a chance to stop by Billy Bob's in Fort Worth for lunch one day. I LOVED Billy Bobs - we were able to see the World's Largest Belt Buckle as well some signed hamburgers from some of our favorite bands!

We arrived in Hallsville later that day and let me tell you, I'm a fan. And with the land that his friends live on, we all know he is a huge fan as well. Any house that allows you to hunt off the porch and walk a few yards for good fishin' is a winner in Jared's book.

We enjoyed some good company, yummy fish (my first time to ever eat fish for a full meal) and some great four wheelin'! I'd say it was a fantastic break!
